In 1976, Jim Ward entered into the transport refrigeration business by becoming the authorized Thermo King dealer for Central Virginia. Shortly thereafter he expanded his reach and influence by adding dealerships in Maryland and Delaware. Although we are no longer a Thermo King Dealer, our company mission has remained the same since the very beginning. Strong customer relationships, putting an emphasis on fairness, honesty and integrity. As we have watched the industry change along with our customer’s needs, we have adapted to provide that one stop solution that people are always searching for.
Now with Jim’s son Brad running the business, and the company headquartered conveniently right off interstate I-95 in Central Virginia, we strive to build strong relationships not only with our locals, but also with transits and our customers nationwide. Whether it’s service, parts, sales, rentals or leasing, we seek the highest standards, expect the most from our employees, and always try to put the customer first.
Each employee plays a vital role in the operation of the business and makes an important contribution to the success of Mid Atlantic Transport Refrigeration, Inc. and Mid-Atlantic Trailer Rentals, Inc. With this in mind, each employee is expected to contribute to the Company’s Mission.
